FRIENDS of the Tallgrass is a collaborative effort of three professionals working at major universities in the Mid-West (specifically the Tallgrass Prairie Heartland region). Project leadership includes James Duncan from the University of Arkansas, Kayla Reed-Fitzke from the University of Iowa, and Anthony Ferraro from Kansas State University. James, Kayla, and Anthony first met at the Florida State University during their time in grad school. Following the completion of their doctorate’s, they have continued to work collaboratively across their three institutions.

All members of the team pursue research and work geared towards Human Development & Family Studies as well as Couple & Family Therapy. Both James and Anthony are Certified Family Life Educators and Kayla is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and AAMFT Approved Supervisor.  Together all three provide a wide range of research knowledge and expert skills to FRIENDS.
